November 07 Businessexcellence 31 specializes in offshore, focusing on the Gulf of Mexico, and can execute large onshore projects, but the Claremont offi ce is entirely focused on the design and build of onshore infrastructure and hydrocarbon processing plants, with 60 years’ experience in proven technologies in hydrogen, ethylene, NOx abatement and Dorr- Oliver fl uidized beds for minerals and waste management. Technip Claremont leads the industry in cracking furnace design as well as ethylene plant modernizations and expansion projects. It designs and supplies state-of-the-art cracking furnaces using the latest coil designs featuring high selectivity, superior on-stream time characteristics, lowest life cycle cost and lowest environmental emissions. Technip Claremont offers extensive expertise in the cost-effective modernization of existing cracking furnaces of different makes to increase capacity and selectivity, while at the same time meeting stringent environmental emission constraints. The Technip Group has formed an alliance with the Dow Chemical Company to optimize and enhance Dow’s ethylene production facilities with the supply of pyrolysis furnace systems. “When you have an alliance with a company like Dow,” says Snijder, “they do it because you have quality. “We also have a technology we call fl uosolids,” he continues, “since we took over the Dorr-Oliver company in the 1990s. This is for roasters and incinerators for the mining industry and industries that burn sludges and solid wastes.” This technology is used in a wide range of metallurgical and chemical processes, including nickel extraction, precious metals extraction, zinc sulfi de roasting, pyrite roasting, limestone and phosphate rock calcination, and many other applications. With around 1000 units designed and constructed worldwide, Technip is the market leader in fl uidized bed systems and facilities. “We are putting a lot of effort into that at the moment,” says Snijder. “There’s a very long history in that product line, and again the Dorr-Oliver fl uosolids are top of the line roasters.” TechnipClaremont Filmag Italia has been a leading manufacturer of top quality butt-welding fi ttings and return bends for petrochemical and power applications since 1959. Our product range covers fi ttings with a diameter up to 24”, with any wall thickness, in any steel grade. We also stock around 2,000 metric tons of WP11, WP22, WP5, WP91, WP304H, WP321H, WP347H and A800HT so that we can provide rapid solutions to emergencies for both Technip USA and other worldwide customers.
