This project examines the passenger experience of luxury travel. It abandons the visual jewellery and traditional materials, and realises that an uncluttered, carefree space with little distraction represents the future of luxury. Aiming to re- ignite passion in the British automotive industry, this concept captures key aspects of the country's design heritage and incorporates new styling trends. The combination creates a refreshing, yet recognisable mid- engined British sports car. Many believe the V12- powered supercar to be an unlikely competitor in the future automotive world. One alternative could be this electric supercar, its design inspired by flowing water, suggesting an organic direction. Speeds of 200mph are still possible! Ian Kettle Ryan McDonagh James Novorol
Anthony Owens Inspired by the female form, this concept is a combination of taut muscular lines with soft organic surfacing. The luxury three- seater is powered by a high- power electric motor and the chassis is influenced by the human skeleton. Elizabeth Pinder Chris Pollard Taking the mid- life crisis as a starting point, this concept features a fascinating exterior. When users touch the surface, the car senses their emotion; brush against the car and the surfaces tighten, hit it and the surfaces rebel, becoming spiny. The car aims to match the users mood. This car investigates the implications of autonomous technology on automotive design in terms of perception, function and aesthetics. Inspiration comes from the architect Calatrava, as well as natural sources such as a leaf.
