For many contracting businesses the recent downturn has been a difficult time, and a good number have had to close their doors altogether. Being located in New York, a city with a life of its own and never without government-, state- and city- funded projects, has been a great help to Coastal Electric, but that's not any part of the real reason why it has managed not only to survive but also to expand rapidly over recent years, insists McKosky.
